2. Operational Relay: Hooter Interface

The Hooter Interface serves as the critical physical bridge connecting the Classic Model terminal’s software logic to high-voltage external sirens or hooters.

  • Up to 25 Daily Schedules: Configure up to 25 individual siren trigger times across a 24-hour cycle to cover all shift starts, lunches, tea breaks, and shift ends.
  • Customizable Alarm Duration: Set the active siren duration anywhere from 1 to 99 seconds per trigger depending on facility noise levels and layout requirements.
  • Robust Load Handling: Features a single-phase 10A power output to directly handle standard sirens. For heavy-duty 3-phase industrial alarms, an external contactor can be seamlessly connected into the interface’s control sequence.

How the Integrated Setup Works

  1. Schedule Configuration: Shift timing protocols are programmed in the central software and loaded into the Classic Model terminal.
  2. Precision Signal: As soon as a programmed shift mark arrives on the terminal’s internal clock, it sends an immediate control signal to the connected Hooter Interface.
  3. Automated Alarm Execution: The Hooter Interface completes the circuit, supplying power to the industrial siren for the pre-set duration (e.g., 5 seconds) before automatically cutting off.
