Automate Your Siren/ Hooter
A siren/hooter plays a vital role where the factory is much concerned about the timing, and warning. This siren forces a system for a proficient and disciplined work environment.
A siren/hooter is a loud whistle device fixed in a central location for the purpose to deliver the alarms, time-in and time-out processes for a big factories, schools, and some other work domains.
Everyone needs innovation for smooth access to technology and wants to make his/her life comfortable. Similarly, hooter operation is a time-consuming procedure as it required a person to operate the siren in a given period of time whether the process would be 2 times a day or 10 times a day.
Every time a person needs to be there to organize alarms on a daily basis. Thus, it becomes a time-consuming process. So, the hooter system needs to automate so that no manpower can use for such alarm-based activity. You just need to configure your system as per your requirement and other related activity will be done accordingly.
With a great future vision, Star Link India provide company/factory a ‘hooter interface’ that can be used to automate the hooter/siren system. A hooter interface makes a connection between the ‘hooter’ and the ‘biometric machine’. This Biometric Attendance System generates the signal as per the configuration set in the machine.
This hooter interface has a single-phase 10A output that drives the hooter to turn on and off. It can configure up to 25-time settings in a day(24 Hours). In addition, the duration of a siren/hooter can be set between 1 to 99 seconds as per requirement.
The hooter system works in three stages, so the customer needs to add a connector for better connectivity. If the hooter work in 3 phase then the contactor can be connected to the “hooter interface”.
The primary advantage of this interface is to automate your hooter system as per requirement and reduce manpower and avoid human errors. You can configure hooter/siren timing as per your requirement.
A Hooter Interface is a device used to automate a factory, workplace, or institutional siren/hooter system. It connects the hooter or siren with a compatible biometric attendance machine, allowing the siren to operate automatically according to pre-configured schedules.
The Hooter Interface connects the biometric attendance machine with the hooter or siren. The biometric device generates a signal according to the configured time settings, and the interface activates or deactivates the connected hooter at the scheduled time.
Automating the hooter system eliminates the need for a person to manually operate the siren several times a day. It can help reduce manpower requirements, minimize human errors, and ensure that alarms or shift-related signals are activated at the configured times.
The Star Link Hooter Interface can be configured with up to 25 time settings within a 24-hour period. This allows organizations to schedule multiple siren events such as shift starts, breaks, lunch periods, shift changes, and closing times.
Yes. The hooter duration can be configured between 1 and 99 seconds, depending on the organization’s requirements. This allows different durations to be assigned to different scheduled events.
The Hooter Interface provides a single-phase 10A output to operate the connected hooter or siren. For applications requiring three-phase operation, a suitable contactor can be connected to the interface.
Yes. A Hooter Interface is particularly useful for factories and industrial workplaces where sirens are used to indicate shift start, shift end, lunch breaks, tea breaks, and other scheduled events. Star Link’s industrial documentation also describes its use for factory break and meal-time notifications.
Yes. When the hooter operates on a three-phase supply, a contactor can be connected to the Hooter Interface to control the three-phase system. Proper electrical installation and compatibility should be verified before commissioning.
Star Link documentation shows Hooter Interface integration with several biometric attendance models, including Classic Model, Industrial Model, Bio-Star, Bio-Lynx, and Industrial Bio-Star, using the appropriate interface/serial connection depending on the device.
A Hooter Interface can be used in factories, manufacturing plants, industrial facilities, schools, and other workplaces where scheduled sirens or alarms are required. It is especially useful in environments with multiple daily shift or break timings that need automated notifications.
